NEW YORK, Feb. 11, 2026, 11 p.m. — In a surprising turn of events, former President Donald Trump has resurfaced on social media with a series of posts featuring himself alongside renowned Black Americans, including civil rights leaders, musicians, and athletes. This comes just days after his controversial Truth Social post depicting Barack and Michelle Obama as apes sparked widespread outrage across the political spectrum.

Trump shared a montage of images highlighting his connections with figures like Jesse Jackson, Rosa Parks, Oprah Winfrey, Michael Jackson, and Will Smith. He captioned the compilation “A timeline of Trump’s bigotry” and added “How quickly people forget. So sad.”

The posts also included videos claiming Trump’s loyalty and support for Black icons such as Michael Jackson and Mike Tyson, with some asserting he “saved Tyson’s life” and remained loyal to Jackson despite past allegations and legal battles. Tyson, who supported Trump in 2016, has publicly disagreed with some of these claims.

In another clip, Trump revisited his 1988 Oprah Winfrey Show appearance, suggesting she encouraged him to run for president back then. This assertion has received mixed reactions.

This flurry of activity follows the backlash from last week’s incendiary video which superimposed Obama faces onto apes in a jungle setting. The racial caricature drew bipartisan condemnation. GOP Senator Tim Scott called it “the most racist thing I’ve seen out of this White House.” Democrat Jasmine Crockett called it “disgusting and disturbing.”

Despite mounting criticism, the White House initially dismissed the post as a “harmless meme.” Later, they stated it was made “erroneously” by a staffer and swiftly deleted it. Trump refused to apologize, claiming he is “the least racist president you’ve had in a long time” and blamed staff for the oversight.

The Catholic Church has also demanded and apology.
