NEW YORK, Jan. 16, 2025, 1 p.m. In a historic moment that matches his legendary fights, the U.S. Postal Service unveiled a new Forever Stamp honoring boxing icon Muhammad Ali.

The stamp features a powerful black-and-white photograph from 1974 showing Ali in his prime, gloves raised, eyes focused. Only 22 million copies are being printed, with distribution beginning in Ali's hometown of Louisville, Kentucky. The event was attended by Ali’s family, friends, and fans, celebrating a hero who fought not only in the ring but also for justice and humanity.

Ali’s widow, Lonnie Ali, described the significance of the stamp saying, “This stamp will pass through countless hands, reminding the world that true greatness isn’t measured by who you knock down but who you lift up.”
