NEW YORK, NY, March 22, 2025, 2 p.m. - The Kankakee County Museum today hosted a special event to celebrate the 20th anniversary of Consciousness Magazine.

Founded by bestselling author Aaron Robinson, the magazine has spent two decades delivering inspiring content and fostering awareness on a variety of important social and cultural topics.

The event, held at the museum at 801 S 8th Ave, marked this milestone by dedicating the magazine’s very first issue, published in 2004. Guests reflected on Consciousness Magazine's journey and its impact through the years.

Known for its thought-provoking interviews with prominent figures such as Danny Glover, the late Dr. Maya Angelou, Dr. Drew Pinsky, Blair Underwood, and India Arie, the magazine continues to inspire its diverse audience.

The publication, which addresses topics ranging from lifestyle and business to community efforts and the arts, has become a cornerstone for empowering and educational content. Its mission to “keep its pen on the pulse of the community” remains as strong today as it was 20 years ago.

The celebration brought together community members and supporters to honor the magazine’s legacy and ongoing contributions. Through this milestone, Consciousness Magazine reaffirms its commitment to positive change and meaningful storytelling.
