Jay-Z and Diddy Off the Hook in Explosive Rape Lawsuit

By Staff

NEW YORK, NY February 14, 2025, 7 p.m. ET – In a stunning turn of events, a lawsuit accusing rap moguls Jay-Z (aka Shawn Carter) and Sean “Diddy” Combs of a sickening 2000 rape has been abruptly dropped.

The anonymous accuser's lawyer filed to dismiss the case "with prejudice" on Friday, meaning there's no second act.

The bombshell lawsuit, which alleged the then-13-year-old accuser was violated by the hip-hop titans after the 2000 MTV Video Music Awards, sent shockwaves through the industry when it surfaced last October.

Jay-Z didn't hold back, blasting the allegations as "frivolous, fictitious and appalling" in a statement posted to X (formerly Twitter). "This civil suit was without merit and never going anywhere," he wrote, adding the "fictional tale" was "laughable, if not for the seriousness of the claims."

But not everyone’s buying the victory lap. The accuser's lawyer, Tony Buzbee, known for taking on high-profile sexual assault cases against Diddy, isn't talking.

The case had already seen its share of courtroom drama. Back in December, a federal judge slammed Jay-Z's legal team for their "combative motions" and "inflammatory language," hinting at a no-holds-barred legal battle.

While Jay-Z might be breathing easier, Diddy's far from out of the woods. He's still drowning in a sea of sexual assault lawsuits and federal sex trafficking charges that could keep him behind bars for a long time. Stay tuned, folks, because this saga is far from over.
