New York, NY. Nov. 23, 2025, 2 p.m. - In a fiery attack that’s got Washington buzzing, Rep. Jasmine Crockett (D-Texas) today didn’t hold back Sunday when asked about Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene’s (R-Ga.) sudden decision to leave Congress in January — and she didn’t sugarcoat her words.
“Honestly, I was like, ‘You’ve got to be kidding me,” Crockett snapped on CNN’s State of the Union. “ One week she’s on the side of Trump, the next she’s crying about the heat. What a joke!”
Greene, the outspoken firebrand known for her wild claims and fiery rhetoric, announced she’s quitting, citing her falling-out with Trump and her desire to avoid “hurtful” GOP primaries. She claimed her departure was about “self-respect” and “loving her family,” but Crockett isn’t buying it.
“She’s just afraid to stand her ground,” Crockett fired back. “She’s all talk, no guts. An embarrassment to real fighters.”
Greene’s abrupt exit comes after months of controversy, including her infamous clash with Crockett during a House hearing, where Greene told Crockett her “fake eyelashes” were messing up her reading. Now, Crockett says Greene’s just running away from the real fight.
This isn’t about dignity,Crockett added. Greene’s leaving because she knows she can’t handle the heat.
