DOGE Staffer Busted for Racist Rants, Resigns in Scandal
By Staff
NEW YORK, February 6, 2025, 8 p.m. ET - Marko Elez, a high-ranking official at the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE), is outta here - and it ain't pretty.
Elez got caught with his foot in his mouth after a social media account linked to him started spewing racist garbage.
The account, which has since been exposed, made some seriously vile posts, including:
"Just for the record, I was racist before it was cool" - because who needs to apologize for that, right?
"You could not pay me to marry outside of my ethnicity" - because love knows no bounds... or so they say.
And the cherry on top: "Would not mind at all if Gaza and Israel were both wiped off the face of the Earth" - because who needs peace when you can have... well, you know.
These toxic tweets came to light after some enterprising journalist dug them up, and now everyone's talking. As a result, Elez is outta the picture - at least for now. His role in overseeing Treasury Department payment systems has been compromised, and he's in the midst of a legal battle over access to sensitive taxpayer data.
You gotta wonder what other skeletons are hiding in Elez's closet. His previous stint at SpaceX and involvement in various tech initiatives don't exactly scream "model citizen." Guess you could say this is one staffer who's really "efficiency-challenged" when it comes to keeping his mouth shut.
