NEW YORK Dec. 2, 2025, 3 p.m. - Fresh off the release of 50 Cent’s controversial Netflix documentary Sean Combs: The Reckoning, the music mogul finally spoke out and he is not holding back.
For months, fans and critics have been buzzing over the four-part series which many say feels more like a brutal diss track than a legitimate biography. Produced by 50 Cent himself, the series dives into decades of alleged drama exposing stories that have long simmered under the surface.
But Diddy, whose real name is Sean Combs, was notably silent until now. And his response is a fierce legal and personal rebuke.
“This is a hit piece,” Diddy’s spokesperson told TMZ, revealing that his legal team has already sent a cease-and-desist letter to Netflix demanding the series be pulled. They allege Netflix used stolen footage including private conversations with his lawyers that were never meant for public viewing.
Sources say Combs was recording his own story capturing moments over the years that Netflix allegedly ripped out of context to craft a narrative designed to tarnish his reputation. And he is furious Netflix handed over his life story to someone with a decades-long grudge.
“If Netflix cared about the truth they would not be abusing his legal rights or disrespecting his privacy,” the spokesperson added.
Meanwhile, director Alexandria Stapleton insists the footage was obtained legally emphasizing Combs’ lifelong obsession with filming himself but the controversy only adds fuel to the fire.
As public reactions pour in many are already streaming the series and are shocked by the revelations. Some recall Diddy’s long history of accusations including disturbing claims about violence against women and even his own mother allegations that have haunted him since the 90s.
“Watching this it is wild how everyone knew what he was doing and still kept working with him,” tweeted one user.
While Diddy fights to have the series taken down the drama continues to unfold. One thing is clear this is not just a documentary it is a full-blown showdown.
