COLLEGE GOP ATTACKS BLACK AMERICANS

By Rob Redding

NEW YORK, April 3, 2026, 12 p.m.— A newly promoted College Republicans of America political director is under fire after resurfaced livestreams show him siding with people who targeted Black Americans and brushing off racist behavior caught on camera.

In one recording, Kai Schwemmer agreed with a streamer who said he preferred a society where abortion is banned and slavery is legal. When another participant suggested Schwemmer was more reasonable, Schwemmer cut him off and said, “No, I agree with him.”

The slavery remark is one of several moments in the videos where Schwemmer minimizes or excuses racist conduct. In another broadcast, he defended a man who disrupted a Black TikTok creator’s gaming stream by using a racial slur. Instead of condemning the slur, Schwemmer attacked the Black creator who responded by identifying the man behind it. Schwemmer told his audience, “Am I insane? Or is calling someone a racial slur not as bad as getting them kicked out of the navy, making fun of their dead parent, publicizing their private information, and then making money off of ruining the guy’s life forever?”

The clip shows Schwemmer framing the man who used the slur as the victim while treating the Black creator as the one who crossed the line. His commentary repeatedly portrayed Black people as responsible for escalating situations, even when they were the targets of racist behavior.

The videos, many hidden behind a paywall on his subscription page, span years and show a consistent pattern of rhetoric aimed at Black Americans. Schwemmer has recently claimed he underwent a process of growth, but the recordings tell a different story.

The College Republicans of America did not respond to requests for comment.
