Redding's "Fractured" lines is clearly influenced by Jackson Pollock, the abstract "splash painter." Redding first began adding these "Fractured" lines to his smear paintings in December 2004 after gazing at the clouds during long runs on Washington, D.C.'s National Mall. More works are coming in 2007.
