Tens of thousands
watch Whitney Houston funeral

ATLANTA, Feb. 18,
2012, 12:40 p.m.
- Tens of thousands today are
tuning into Whitney Houston's funeral being held at her home church
in New Jersey.
Just 30 minutes into the service more than 170,000
had tuned into the Associated Press' live stream of the service of
about 300 observers at New
Hope Baptist Church in Newark, which was invitation only.
The service, which started at noon, is expected to
last three hours. The audience is expected to build through the
day.
Houston was found dead in a hotel bath room last
week. Her cause of death still ahs not been announced.

Many celebrities are expected to attend the service.
The Associated Press reports the following celebrities are expected to
attend: "Kevin Costner, who co-starred with the singer in 'The
Bodyguard,' her mentor Clive Davis, Elton John, Oprah Winfrey, Jay-Z,
Beyonce, Dionne Warwick, Chaka Khan, and Houston’s Ex Husband, Bobby
Brown."
Houston sold more than 200 million records and is
credited with saving the NAACP Image Awards.
