Gabby Douglas: Mom uses black power salute

ATLANTA, Aug. 3, 2012, 11 p.m. - Olympic star Gabby Douglas' mom appeared to salute her child's accomplishments with a black power fist raised high in the air.

The salute was reminiscent of the one made back in 1968 by Tommie Smith and John Carlos, who where in Mexico City.

The Virginia native's mother was there with hundreds of others cheering her child on.

Douglas became the first black woman to win the all around award in women's gymnastics.
