- The Associated Press, which
distributes news content to more than 1,700 news agencies and more
than 5,000 broadcasters, appears to have goofed during a Newt
Gingrich campaign stop last night.An
Associated Press cutline reads:
"Republican presidential candidate former House Speaker Newt
Gingrich, accompanied by his wife Callista, meets with prisoners
during an event at the Jones Memorial AME Zion Church, Saturday,
Jan. 14, 2012, in Columbia, S.C."
The photo, which was posted by Matt Rourke, only
includes Gingrich speaking to elderly black women and no prisoners.

Gingrich spoke at Jones Memorial to woo black voters.
He has been assailed by black activists for making controversial remarks
about blacks.
“I will go to the NAACP convention and explain to the
African-American community why they should demand paychecks instead of food
stamps,” he said just a few days ago.
