Redding News Review launches 'Business Diary' blog

Jan. 18, 2009, 2 a.m. - Redding News Review this weekend added a "Business Diary" blog to its growing entrepreneurship-focused Business News section.

Redding News Review Business Editor Wade Simmons said the "Business Diary" - which is a blog filled with his daily reflections while traversing the city cutting business deals - is a raw uncensored look at what it's like for him while building his three-month-old energy consulting company, Washington Energy Association, LLC. 

"It's like reality television on the Internet," said Simmons, who free writes his entries. "People have business blogs but they are more like how to manuals. 

"This deals with real life drama," he said. "I think that is what makes Redding News Review's 'Business Diary' blog a little bit different."

Editor and Publisher Robert "Rob" Redding Jr. agreed.

Simmons began his "Business Diary" blog after joining the site last week. 

The 38-year-old, who lives in Washington, D.C., is a former reporter for The Washington Post-owned Gazette. He has covered a myriad of issues in and around Maryland's Fort Washington, Clinton and Suitland communities.  

He holds a Bachelor's degree from the University of Maryland's Philip Merrill College of Journalism.
