'REDDING NEWS REVIEW' WINS GOLD ADDY AWARD

By Staff
The coveted award was presented to Redding Communications, Inc. for RCI's "Redding News Review Promo" in the "Radio Self-Promotion Single" category. The promo can be heard by clicking here.
"It is truly a distinguished honor to be recognized by such a respected organization," said Redding, who is CEO of RCI and host of Redding News Review. "Redding News Review - the show and website - continues to set a new standard in the broadcast and new media industries, and this award is just an extension of that."
"This award is also is a testament to the hard work of our innovative staff of Bruno Gaston, ReddingNewsReview.com's international editor and production guru; Othman Smihi, my current engineer and call screener; and Quiana Knox, my former engineer and call screener," he said.
Knox, who worked with Redding while at Atlanta's WAOK-AM, was murdered six years ago last month. The crime is still unsolved.
Since Knox's murder, Redding's show has spread to all 50 states via XM 169 and Genesis Communications Network every Sunday from 7 to 10 p.m. ET. The program was added by three new terrestrial affiliates - KKGN in Oakland, San Francisco and San Jose; WMEL-AM in Melbourne, Fla.; and WVNA-AM in Tuscumbia, Ala. - last week alone,
"This award is probably our best achievement since the radio program made it to the west coast," said Gaston. "It has certainly been a good year for us."
