Redding News Review's Editor and Publisher Robert "Rob" Redding Jr. said that Simmons "brings a wealth of knowledge from the energy sector and will continue to build upon RNR's strong entrepreneurship-focused Business News section."
"I have known Wade for a number of years and believe that he is one of the smartest guys in the room," Redding said. "We are fortunate to have him on our team."
Simmons is a former reporter for The Washington Post-owned Gazette. He has covered a myriad of issues in and around Maryland's Fort Washington, Clinton and Suitland communities.
He holds a Bachelor's degree from the University of Maryland's Philip Merrill College of Journalism.
Redding had been editing the section.
