Wynter talks his way out of a job

By Staff

Oct. 15, 2008, 12:30 p.m. - Conservative talk radio show host Shelley Wynter has lost yet another job after parting ways with the U.S. Talk Network last week, an official said.

Coz Carson, executive producer and a fellow talk show host for the network, issued the standard response when asked, "What happened?"

"U.S. Talk Network and Mr. Wynter have decided to part company," Carson said. Network founder and president Lee Michaels "wishes Mr. Wynter all the best in his future endeavors."

Listeners told Redding News Review that Wynter was cut from the network on Thursday after getting into an on-air argument with Michaels.

Wynters joined the burgeoning network in June after getting fired from Atlanta's WAOK-AM in May. Sources said he made negative remarks about a respected Georgia Democrat and did not disclose that he was accepting "consulting" payments from a Republican challenger.

Wynter was not immediately available to comment.
