By Staff

March 10, 2008, 1:20 a.m. -  The American Association of University Women has rated the voting records of members of the 110th Congress to determine how consistently they supported the issues they believe are most important to women. U.S. Rep. John Lewis, Georgia Democrat, received a perfect score from the AAUW.

"On behalf of the more than 100,000 bipartisan members of the American Association of University Women, I want to thank Congressman Lewis for his 100 percent rating in our recently published AAUW Congressional Voting Record," said Lisa Maatz, AAUW's Director of Public Policy and Government Relations.

"We greatly appreciate his consistent support for AAUW's priority issues in the first session of the 110th Congress, including his support for making college more affordable, advancing pay equity issues, and strengthening hate crimes laws, as well as his opposition to efforts to weaken family planning programs."
