May 2, 2007, 8:40 a.m. - Rapper T-Pain today said he was a victim of "police brutality" following a concert last week.

T-Pain, whose real name is Faheem Najm, was arrested by Miami police after his performance at Bayfront Park. Police have said he was on stage too long.

"It was really police brutality," he told radio host Doug Banks. "They pulled my hair and pushed my head into the ground."

T-Pain, who is from Tallahassee, said he does not plan to sue the police department or the officers, who he called "haters".

"This happens everyday," he said, noting that he is not the only black man who has had a complaint against the police.

He was also asked if he was concerned about how he is handling his performances, since Hip-Hop singer Akon has been assailed for dancing with an under-aged girl.

"She shouldn't be in the club," he said.
