"Black Voices, White Power" gets March pub date

NEW YORK, Feb. 16, 2017, 4:30 p.m. - Redding News Review's Rob Redding thesis on white ownership of the black press next month will be published in SAGE-title Journal of Black Studies.

The Journal will publish "BLACK VOICES, WHITE POWER: MEMBERS OF THE BLACK PRESS MAKE MEANING OF MEDIA HEGEMONY" in Volume 48, Issue 2 due in March. Redding, who is a Communication professor in New York City at City Tech and Pace universities, submitted the article upon completion of his Masters in Communication Studies while Teaching at Marshall University.

"The thesis gives an on the record voice to black employees who toil at white-owned black-focused media about their experiences as it relates to content decisions and beyond," Redding said.

He finished the two year graduate program in a year and a half, while releasing his seventh best selling book, "Why Black Lives Matter" in 2015. He is also planning the release of his eighth book Sinister Citizen on March 13th.

Redding is the host of the popular talk show Redding News Review Unrestricted. The show has subscribers in 24 states. He is also the editor and publisher of the web's oldest destination for news about blacks He has written seven consecutive best sellers.
